In order to manage the ESXi host or vCenter you need a client to connect to either of them. In this post i am going to show how to install the vSphere Client and how to connect to vCenter server.
1- Insert the Vcenter server 5.1 DVD. Select vCenter vSphere Client and select install.
8- Open newly installed vSphere Client and enter the IP Address or Hostname of the server on which vCenter server is installed. Enter the credentials and select Login.

2- Select Next.
3- Select Next.
4- Accept the terms and select Next.
5- Select Next.
6- Select Install.
7- Select Finish.
9- The vCenter server has been successfully connected.
Conclusion: The vSphere 5.1 client installation has been performed and also the vCenter server 5.1 has been connected successfully using the vSphere Client. In the next post i will show how to create a virtual machine.
